Biblical tableus
In Louise's work with biblical motifs, ambiguity is also explored. ‘Mary on the donkey’, ‘Palm Sunday’, ‘The Widow from Nain and ‘Jacob’s dream’ are all motifs located around the city gate or gate (to heaven) as a symbol of the border between inclusion and exclusion, life and death, anonymity and identity, stagnation and possibility which reinforces the protagonists' transformative roles and positioning in society and culture. From ordinary to saint, from celebrated to executed, from death to life and vice versa. These works have been exhibited twice in Copenhagen. The widow from Nain has also been loaned as an altarpiece in Hans Egede's Church on Østerbro in Copenhagen.
